The torture of severe cold continues in the smart city. Due to cold wave, Faridabad remained colder than Jammu on Wednesday. The maximum temperature of the city was recorded at 16 with a drop of seven degrees and the minimum temperature was recorded at 7 degrees Celsius, four degrees below normal. Whereas the minimum temperature of Jammu was eight and the maximum temperature was 18 degrees Celsius. During this period, people remained troubled throughout the day due to freezing cold. Children and elderly remained hiding in their homes.
According to meteorologists, at present the maximum temperature in Faridabad and surrounding areas should remain around 23 degrees Celsius. This is considered the normal temperature of the day. At the same time, 11-12 degree Celsius is considered normal at night, but due to snowfall in Shimla, Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, cold wave is going on. The temperature has been affected due to the winds blowing from the south-west at a speed of about three kilometers per hour.
Therefore, the day temperature on Wednesday was about seven degrees Celsius less than normal. This is lower than the temperature of Jammu. Due to this people had to face a lot of problems. To escape the cold during the day, people were seen warming their hands by lighting bonfires at various places. At the same time, once again NIT area was the coldest area on Wednesday. The maximum temperature recorded here during the day was around 16 degrees Celsius. Due to which five lakh people had to face problems. Meteorologist Mahesh Pahlawat said that there is a possibility of dense fog in the entire city including NIT till January 9. This will increase the cold further.
Wind speed will increase, temperature will drop
According to meteorologists, the wind speed is likely to increase on Wednesday. In such a situation, there will be a decline in night temperature along with day. The minimum temperature is likely to be six degrees Celsius, five degrees below normal. Due to cloudy sky from January 9, people will have to face icy wind. Cold will continue to bother you.
